As CEO of Ministry of Electronics and IT Startup Hub, focused on creating a startup ecosystem around the Public Digital Platforms and Infrastructure, with keen emphasis on diffusion of digital innovations in Tier II and III geographies of India.

Prior to joining government of India, Mr. Vijay was Assistant Vice Chancellor for Investments and Entrepreneurship at university of Texas System, where he focused on creating a vibrant startup and investment ecosystem across the state of Texas. Also was the Managing Director of UT Horizon Fund, a $60M strategic early stage VC fund based in Austin, TX.

In 18+ years of experience in US and India, aside from government advisory and policy expertise, Mr. Vijay’s career in Private Equity and Venture Capital in US had focused on investing in and advising high growth companies to unlock significant value via capital infusion, financial restructuring, operational optimization, M&A, and organic growth initiatives.
