Dr Ajay Kumar, as Additional Secretary in the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India, is responsible for coordinating the Digital India programme. He also coordinates the promotion activities of the Electronics sector in the country and has initiated many policies that have led to the revival of the sector. A PhD in Business Administration from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, USA, Dr Kumar has also done MS in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, USA. He has also completed B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has initiated many human resource development initiatives in Electronics and ICT which include scaling the number of PhDs, setting up of seven new Academies, skill development, National Digital Literacy Mission, etc. Dr Kumar also holds the portfolio of Director General at National Informatics Centre (NIC), the premier e-governance service provider of India. He is also the Asia-Pacific representative on Number Resource Organization of ICANN for 2015 and 2016. Dr Kumar’s work has been published in many national and international journals. He has won many awards, fellowships and citations which include “Electronics Leader of the Year” (2012) for the promotion of electronics industry in the country; Graduate School Fellowship by the University of Minnesota, USA (2004 and 2005); “Silver Elephant” medallion by National Scouts and Guides by His Excellency, the President of India (1994); and Citation by the Honourable Prime Minister of India in 1994. Dr Ajay Kumar was awarded the “Outstanding Young Person” award by the Junior Chamber of Kerala in 1994.

Anil Valluri is the President of India & SAARC Operations for NetApp. He joined NetApp in February 2012. He is responsible for the overall business and operations of NetApp in India and the SAARC region. His directive includes growing market share and driving healthy ecosystem growth among both Partners and Customers in the region. Anil comes to NetApp with an experience of over 25 years in Sales, Marketing and Technology Leadership roles. In this span, he has been a part of some of the largest enterprises in India, specifically in their Enterprise IT build outs and in diversified industries such as Banking, Telecommunications, Government, Retail and Manufacturing segments. Prior to NetApp, Anil was with Artiman Ventures, a bay-area based Venture Capital firm that specialized in white-space investments as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, before which he was with Sun Microsystems where his last role was as Vice-President & Managing Director of Sun Microsystems, India. He has also donned several roles in Services Business, Systems Engineering, Product Business and Sales across Sun Microsystems, DEC India and DCM Data Products. Anil is an alumnus of Stanford University and believes in amalgamating the learnings of Leadership and Entrepreneurship together, in what he does. He is a regular speaker on leadership & technology, and has been on the advisory councils for customers, CTO/CIO forums and has been on many Jury Panels for well-known publications.

Naveen started his advertising career with Sista’s Advertising in the year 1992. Post that, he spent most of his advertising years in Mudra Communications & McCann Worldgroup. He was McCann’s Chief Growth Officer & Business Director for 8 years and moved out in September 2006, to experience the other side of the business.
